Is 30 Days Enough?

How could anyone forget the death of Tyler Clementi? His roomate, Dharun Ravi, who used a remote webcam from his dorm to spy on Clementi in an intimate encounter with another man in September 2010. Days later Clementi jumped off the George Washington Bridge at 18-years-old. Ravi was facing as much as 10 years in state prison and was sentenced yesterday, May 21, to a 30-day term in the county jail for intimidation and invading the privacy of his roomate. I can't believe Ravi is only recieving 30 days. That is disgusting. I believe that this man should recieve life in prison or at least longer then just a month. Everyone has their own opinion but this is just wrong and not fair to Clementi's family. For the full story visit this site.

  1. I don't think 30 days is enough. Ravi ultimately lead to Clementi's death. I feel that he should be charged for something much more. I heard on the news that it was mentioned so many times that Ravi was guilty, but he never apologized for what he did. He should have gotten the full 10 years in my opinion.

  2. I definitely don't think 30 days is enough for Ravi. He ultimately took away Clementi's life, and there's no chance for Ravi to apologize to him. 300 hours of community service doesn't even help the case, it's still not harsh enough of a punishment.
